Below are videos and photos of a few dogs that are presently or have in the past used the Anti-Knuckling Device to address their hind leg knuckling and/or hind leg weakness issues that caused or are causing dragging of the hind paws.
There are many causes for hind leg knuckling in dogs, including degenerative myelopathy, degenerative disc disease, fibrocartilaginous embolism, spinal trauma from accidents and others. Treatment can include physical therapy, water therapy, medication such as steroids and in some cases surgery. For more information on available options, check out Reilly’s Story. Reilly, the Irish Setter below, suffered from degenerative disc disease. He was the first dog to use the Anti-Knuckling Device and was the dog for whom it was invented.
